Transferring Knowledge to Transform Government

The Performance Institute (PI) Hosts FirstNet Community

PI proudly welcomes FirstNet professionals and other Federal, State, and Local officials of the NPSBN community

Introducing the Nationwide Public Safety Broadband Network (NPSBN) event, “How to Get Ready for FirstNet—Strategy, Architecture, and Security.”

Members of the FirstNet community came together for this complimentary, one-of-a-kind experience. The Performance Institute (PI) hosted:

  • Keynote Edward Parkinson of First Responder Network Authority (FirstNet)
  • Ray Lehr, PI Fellow, Nationwide Public Safety Broadband
  • Alma Cole, PI Fellow, Cyber Security

FirstNet’s recently released Draft RFP illuminates the complexity of the process necessary for the successful design, deployment, operation, and sustainability of the NPSBN. There are over 600 Operational Architecture Functions and Descriptions contained in this document. This event provided a forum for facilitated discussion to better understand the architecture proposed by FirstNet and focused on how each function and description applies to stakeholders.
