Stephen Olkewicz | Director, Data Quality and Performance Reporting
Steve Olkewicz, PI’s Director for Data Quality and Performance Reporting, has over 25 years of professional management experience that he brings to The Performance Institute. He has worked with both public and private organizations where he has designed, developed, and implemented performance-reporting systems that have integrated with back-end data sources to reduce errors and ensure consistency of data used in data driven performance reviews. At PI, Steve also provides clients with consulting services in performance management, measure development, and strategic planning; his clients include The Department of Agriculture, Center for Medicare and Medicaid Service, HHS Office of Inspector General, and the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Throughout his career, Steve has gained on understanding of the importance of identifying, developing, and using quality data to make decisions. He brings over 20 years of experience implementing systems to provide insight and guidance to his clients.
Steve has worked extensively with executives in both the private and public sectors where he has providing coaching and facilitated workshops in performance management methodologies. In this capacity, he has worked with many leading organizations such as NATO, Coast Guard, Department of Veterans Affairs, Pfizer, Miami-Dade County, and Kaiser Permanente. Over the course of his career, Steve has designed inventory systems, developed scheduling systems, and implemented performance reporting software systems at some of the largest public and private organizations.
Steve has provided training and consulting services at the federal, state, and local governments in performance management and reporting, measure development, and strategic planning. Steve has worked with numerous federal agencies on developing strategic plans, developing performance management processes, and implementing balanced scorecards and other performance reporting systems. Steve has provided coaching to Senior Executives Service, general officers, and private industry executives in running data driven performance reviews. He has implemented performance reporting systems at all levels of government, from small local municipalities to multi-agency federal departments. In addition, Steve has led these clients through workshops to develop organizational Goals and identify the cascaded program and personal objectives to promote organizational alignment.
Steve has directed global teams in the design, development, and configuration of software that ties individual performance plans and compensation to organizational strategic goals for the pharmaceutical, healthcare, and financial service industries. He has led performance reporting system implementations within both public and private sectors to help communicate enterprise strategic goals throughout the organization. Steve has led organizations in the design and implementation of project portfolio reporting systems that have prioritized initiatives against their strategic goals.
